About Erica Reid
Erica began her career in medicine almost twenty years ago working as a Veterinary Technician in Florida whilst teaching animal behaviour at the local college. Erica transitioned to working with people after earning her Occupational Therapy degree from University of Florida in 1997.
The choice to pursue Occupational versus Physical Therapy came as a result of the increased focus on the “whole body” and the psychological elements of the former at the time. Erica has had the good fortune to work in multiple cities and with multiple groups including stroke and spinal cord injuries, children in the school system and the elderly. Along the way she discovered myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, Reiki as well as pilates and Restorative Exercise (see links). Using these modalities produces more positive, permanent and life changing results by releasing blockages produced by both physical and emotional traumas that leave their scars within us.
Erica applies her vast experience to educating and treating both physical and emotional bodies of her clients to relieve their discomfort and maximize their individual potential.
